Giving Tuesday, which falls on Tuesday, December 2 this year, is a global day of generosity where everyone can give back to their communities through donations, acts of kindness, or spreading awareness. During this season of giving, we would greatly appreciate your support for our mission!
"The Crisis on the Field
In 2024, more than 50,000 children and youth in Pennsylvania experienced homelessness, with over 10,000 of them right here in Philadelphia. These are not just numbers; they are children whose futures are impacted by housing instability and trauma. HopePHL believes that every child deserves a safe place to call home, and we're on a mission to turn these statistics around.

The Challenge: Scoring Stability for Kids
The challenge uses a paper field goal game to symbolize the journey toward housing stability and success for children and families. Each successful kick represents a vital step in HopePHL's process of helping families build a better future.

How to Play:
  1. Build Your Goalpost: Fashion a goalpost using your fingers or everyday items like paper clips, straws, or even two pens taped to a small box.
  2. Fold Your Football: Create a classic paper football, decorate it for your favorite team and get ready to kick!
  3. Print out your field
  4. Share Your Kicks: Record your kicks and share them on social media tagging @hopephlorg, @hopephl_cdc, @hope_phl and using the hashtag #HopePHLGoal and #ChildrenCannotWait to raise awareness. Tag friends and challenge them to match your "score" to a real-world donation to HopePHL.
  5. Make a donation to HopePHL representing the yard line you kicked from at
  6. Challenge friends, family and followers to match your donation or beat your score!
Why We Kick
HopePHL serves thousands of children and families annually through housing, social services, advocacy, and early childhood support programs. By participating in this challenge, you help shine a light on the urgent need to support the 50,000 children in PA who deserve a secure start in life.
