The 2022 BELL Summit Keynote Speaker was Dr. Iheoma Iruka, a Research Professor in the Department of Public Policy and the Founding Director of the Equity Research Action Coalition at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is leading projects and initiatives focused on ensuring that minoritized children and children from low-income households, especially Black children, thrive in the early years through the intersection of anti-bias, anti-racist, culturally grounded research, program, and policy.

Panelist, Shante Brown is the Acting Deputy Secretary for the Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning. Prior to her appointment as Acting Deputy Secretary, Ms. Brown was the Director of the Bureau of Child Care Certification for the state and was formerly employed by PhlPrek and the School District of Philadelphia.
